Our Mission

To create a sense of community through the centralization of information of all Yolo County resources, specifically for youth ages 0-5, in one location. Our Vision

We believe that every family and caregiver of children ages 0-5, deserves equitable access to education, resources, and support. It is a big transition into parenthood, and we are here to help! We’re committed to launching programs that uplift, educate, and connect.

Our vision is empowering all families of young children, from newborns to approximately 5 years of age, by advancing equity of resources, education, and community. We promote the well-being and growth of young children, while fostering a nurturing and equitable environment for all families.

This includes providing caregivers and families with access to:

  • Educational resources

  • Community support

  • Developmental tools

  • Inclusive programs

  • and more!

How YoloC3 Started

The idea of YoloC3 was created in May 2023 by our co-founder, Zia Sloan. A new mom in a post-pandemic world, she soon came to recognize the difficulties of the parenthood transition.

After researching for moms groups, walking groups, educational parent groups, new-family events, etc. she soon came to realize either resources were all over the place and required a lot of research to find, or, they were next-to-non-existent due to post-pandemic ripples.

She knew she wasn’t the only one who may be finding it difficult to create an accessible caregivers’ community. Recognizing the demand, Yolo County Caregivers Collective was brought to life!

After creating a Facebook (after not having one for 15 years) she joined and recruited moms, parents, and caregivers in the community with common needs. In Spring 2024, YoloC3 officially had its first Board of Directors!
